I LOVE meeting new clients! It's so fun because by the time the session is over it feels like you have been friends forever. :) That's how I felt with this family. So fun and full of fun ideas. I enjoyed this family so much. So fun and playful and the kids are a riot. Such a fun brother and sister....BUT....the day after the photoshoot apparently Caden was playing "barbershop" while the babysitter was there and cut off Keali's hair! So now she is sporting the most precious little pixie haircut and not the hair in these pictures. :) Gotta love big brothers. LOL!

I met a ROCKSTAR....

His name is Witt and he is beyond precious. I met up with Witt and his parents almost 2 weeks ago to start a family session for them. The first one of them OUTSIDE of hospital walls. He has been home for over 2 weeks and off oxygen. Way to go, Champ! You see Witt has lived the majority of his small life in the hospital. He was given a rare diagnosis of trisomy 1 (only about 20 cases known so he is literally one in a million)which is also a quite serious diagnosis with many complications on his sweet life. He truly is a miracle ...and oh-so lovable. :)

Melanie, Austan and Witt- It was an absolute pleasure to meet you guys and visit. You are awesome and I'm glad I know you. :) Many prayers going y'alls way.

I know I haven't been blogging since May but I was still here a workin'. In June my grandfather, my Poppi, passed away unexpectedly and our whole family was rattled to the core. It was then that I took a few weeks to just focus on my family, something I haven't done in a long time. Even in the midst of all of our sorrow, something came a long to put a smile on my face. I found out I was pregnant. Anyone who knows me, knows that this is a big deal and a miracle all wrapped in one. So, then all the sickness started and let me tell you....it's so not fun when you have a two year old. :) "Mommy, you pukin' again"......so fun! Editing was not possible from the bathroom floor....which I found out aren't as clean as I thought. Gross. :)

I am umpteen thousand blogs behind so I'm just going to make one big random blog for now and I'm going to start keeping up better. I'm 21 weeks a long now and super excited. I'm just now coming into my super busy season and I'm about to hit it head on. Super excited... :) Fun times ahead.

Again, I apologize for being MIA and I hope you stick around. Enjoy the massive picture overload. I absolutely ADORE my clients and their pictures.

I'm a BAD Blogger!!

Things have been hectic. Seriously, hectic. The last few months have been crazy busy that I haven't even had time to blog. I'm roughly 15 sessions behind on blogging and 2 weddings! Poor blog!

A little over a month ago my Nana was seriously sick and I stopped and put everything on hold. Now she is better and getting stronger everyday and my workday has returned. I've been slammed busy catching up and getting order out....just not blogging. I'll promise to blog some in the next few days.

Also, on a very serious note....when I switched my website over, my email did not follow. I typed in my email address where it was suppose to go and something went wrong. I wondered why I wasn't receiving the orders people were sending and I wasn't getting any inquires. FINALLY a MONTH and a half later...it's all fixed. If you know of anyone that was trying to contact me and I never responded...PLEASE tell them to try again!!!

Tyler, Jackson and Sadie

Two and a half years ago I worked as an Assistant Director at a private preschool. It is there that I got to know and love this sweet family. It was also the last time I have seen them....and it was also then that Tyler was 3 AND an only child, who was about to be a big brother. His mom, Allison, and I were both pregnant and due around the same time. I was due with Avery and she was having Jackson. NOW there is a Sadie!!! :) We had a fun time catching up on things and visiting as we strolled around the park. Seriously, how stinkin' cute are these kids?

Allison- It was so good to see you and thank you so much for contacting me! I loved every minute of photographing your children. Tyler has grown so much and it was so fun to meet Jackson and Sadie. We need to get together again! Big hugs to all of you and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek...

Twins...gotta love em. I'm going to do my best to say who is who correctly. :) I THINK I got it though. Mallory is 18 minutes older than Meredith (or is it the other way around??)but other than that everything else is probably the same. :) I met them for their Senior pictures a week (or so) ago and was absolutely blown away from the time they got out of their car. They are BEAUTIFUL! Not only are they beautiful on the outside they are ten times more beautiful on the inside. Two pure hearts of gold and totally down to earth....and I was only around them for a few hours. If I was Mom and Dad I think I would lock them in the closet and not let them out until they were 40..ha ha! We had such a fun time doing their pictures and I totally felt like I was shooting models from A*mericas N*ext T*op M*odel. :) So fun!

Mallory and Meredith- It was so nice meeting you two and I wish you the best as you start your college life. I know with each other by your side, you will make it memorable. :) Knock em' dead in Arkansas. I'm glad Mrs. Skinner sent you my way cause I had so much fun shooting you guys. Even if we did have to see scary truck drivers..ha ha! Congrats on your upcoming graduation! Hope you love the sneak peek..

Two Crystals in two days. Both from my hometown and both having girls. Yay!

I was ecstatic when Crystal called and wanted me to do her maternity pictures. They were so fun to photograph and are such a sweet couple. I LOVED the car. It's Crystals and they totally made it beautiful....If memory serves me right it is a 1939Chevy Coupe....but don't hold me to it. :)

As of right now, Crystal is on strict bedrest for the remainder of her pregnancy and I know that it can be such a scary time.....and boring! :)

Kevin and Crystal- Thank you so much for allowing me to photograph this special time. I wish you guys nothing but the best and can't wait to meet the princess.

Crystal- Hopefully you have a laptop to see these and I hope that you have a bunch of movies and magazines to tide you over. Make someone bring you a DQ Blizzard everyday and fan you while you eat it. :) Love ya, girlie....I'll be thinking of you and praying for you and Sweet Lyla.

Okay seriously....long overdue. So just for that I'm making this uber long. :)

When Tina contacted me I knew her named sounded familiar and I racked my brain for hours trying to figure out why. Eventually I called my mom and she fit the puzzle piece together. "Well Roy and Linda had a daughter named, Tina and you used to play with her and her brother Adam. I wonder if that is who it is...." . WAY BACK in the day my dad and Tina's dad worked together and we would go out to their house a lot because our parents were friends. Then it all hit me and I could totally remember their house, the layout of it, the yard...and yes...the alligator. :) It was so neat to shoot a wedding of a beautiful bride that I used to play with when I was 5. :)

Troy and Tina- Thank you so much for letting me shoot your wedding. I loved getting to know you guys and watch the special day from the back of my camera. Everything was beautiful. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek....and I'll see you at Adam and Amber's wedding. :)

Precious Emery

My friends, Ryan and Courtney, have a new little bundle. Sweet little Emery is so itty bitty and so beautiful that I absolutely loved getting to love on her. She was almost 6 weeks(I think) when we took these. Ryan and Courtney are from my hometown but don't live there any more. We did, however, meet back there to do this session at Courtney's parents house.

The session was actually quite funny. About 10 years ago a movie was filmed in our hometown. That movie also used the house Courtney grew up in as THE house that was featured throughout the movie. Keep in mind this was TEN YEARS AGO...but people still come to our town to do the "touristy" thing and they always come by the house. While doing Emery's pictures no less than about 5 cars stopped to have their picture taken in front of the house. I even stopped one time to take a picture of a group of ladies that wanted their picture taken by the front porch. ha ha ha ha! It was a hoot. I mean seriously it's a good movie and all ...but it was 10 years ago. :)

Ryan and Courtney- Thank you for allowing me to take Emerys pictures. I really think she wants to come to my house. :) I love you guys and I think y'all are awesome parents. I am soooo happy for all of you. :) Hope you love your sneak peek.

The "P" Family

As I've said a million times before...I have the best neighbors. :) About a week ago, I met up with some MORE neighbors for a fun little family shoot. Their family is so precious and so incredibly nice and Maya...she is just too adorable.

There's a little brother on the way...

First and foremost...how stinkin' cute is Gabriel? I could just squish him he's so cute. I met up with him and his parents for a fun little shoot to document two important details going on in their lives. The most obvious being that a little brother is on the way. Christine looked absolutely gorgeous and seriously only has this little basketball sized belly. So sweet! We also wanted to document the fact that Gabriel is 18 months. Justin (aka Daddy) was a good sport and was just super easy and laid back.

Hannah Banana

This sweet 10 year old is Hannah. I've known her since she entered this world and her family is very close to and loved by my family.

Hannah is going to be a Princess in the Miss Teen Texas and Miss Texas Pageant and escort some of the girls during the competition. When you are a Princess you get to have your pretty little face in THE Miss Teen Texas and Miss Texas Program....which I might add is about the size of a phone book. Seriously though...how exciting! PLUS..she gets to be on TV. :)

I got the chance to have a photoshoot with Hannah Banana and take her photos for THE phone book sized program and to do her headshot. Then her mom, Tammy, and I stayed up WAY to late while I worked on the 2 page ad....with Tammy's help. :) We had fun and Hannah is such a character!

Hannah- I love you and am so proud of you. You will be the most beautiful Princess in the pageant and I'll be watching you on TV from my couch. :) Have fun and enjoy every moment! You are just as beautiful inside as you are on the out.

Sweet Baby Peyton was only 9 days old when we had a session at her house. We were wanting to do some pictures outside and inside with lots of light. The week had been BEAUTIFUL and then the day of the session was cold, dark and rainy. Just my luck. She was still gorgeous but her family probably thinks I'm strange the way we did some things. :)

Sweet "N" Family- Thank you so much for putting up with me that day. Laura, you are a champ..to be just a few days out of the hospital and still recouping...you rock! It was nice to meet you guys and I think that you are awesome and I wish you guys nothing but the best..Congrats on being a family of 4!

Sweet Baby Arden- 3 Days Old

Sweet Arden was born 3.5 weeks early and as healthy as they come and is just the best baby. I can say that because I know. I was there when she was born and got to hold her before she was even an hour old. She belongs to one of my oldest, dearest and best friends. I raced from Houston to Austin when Tracy went into labor and was so scared I was gonna miss it...but I made it!! I guess I should have posted the sneak peek of her hospital pictures first but oh well! :) Now on to the precious girl herself.. Little Miss Arden True..

This is Dana and she is my hair stylist. Everyone should have a hot hair stylist. :) I absolutely adore her and so does my hair. :) Jagger is too precious and funny and constantly keeps me laughing. A week or so back we met up and updated the pictures that I did of them last year. We had a fun time and evenhad a little scary moment when we ran into a fox when we tried to take a picture at what we didn't know ...was his home. Yikes! We skipped that location afterward. ha ha!

A few weeks back Joe and Sherrie got married and what a beautiful wedding it was. Not to mention...FUN! Shelly helped me shoot this wedding and we had such a good time! Nothing like doing a dance from one picture to another. ;)

This is beautiful Brennan and she is a senior this year at my old high school ....AND.....I used to babysit her and her sister. A Sweet Saturday

I've known Sherry pretty much my whole life. She grew up across the street from my grandparents house, we took dance together at Miss Ann's Dance and we went to school together. She is so fun and so sweet. About a month ago she called me and wanted to book a session as a birthday gift for her sweet friend. I got the chance to meet the birthday girl, Katie, and her family last Saturday. We had a great time and really had a really fun shoot....and you have to give it up for Katies husband who put up with all of us girls for a few hours. :)

Nick and Cassie : Forever

Nick and Cassie were married a week ago and I had the pleasure of capturing the moment for them. Everything was gorgeous and the bride looked like a princess. There is something about weddings that almost makes me cry and to see the looks on their faces as Cassie came down the aisle...ALMOST..made me cry. It was so sweet.

I only grabbed a handful of pictures and I still posted a lot. I'm sure once I get deep into editing their pictures that I will want to post another sneak peek. :) I don't really have any of the reception pictures on here....

This next image is of Cassies mom, Rhonda, and it is one of my favorite images of the day. Her daughter was just about to walk down the aisle, the music was playing and I wondered what was going through her head. The only thing I could think of is that one day, when Avery is walking down the aisle, I'm sure what she is thinking will be what I'll be thinking too...and then I almost cried for her.

A week ago I got to be at the hospital with one of my old college roommates when she was having her 3rd little girl. I just so happened to have my camera. :)

It was so sweet seeing it all through my camera that I seriously almost cried a few times.

I sat in the waiting room with the "Big Sisters" and Kou(their grandma) and got to be there when they saw Molly Kate for the first time.

It took a few times at attempting this session to get it right. The first time we were scheduled, Addison got sick. The second time, Mom gave Addison a new baby brother (who has the next blog) the third time we ran out of light...BUT...the 4th time was a charm! We first did Addisons session and then we did her new baby brother. So here she is...the new two year old herself, Precious Addison.

Taylor: Senior Pictures

I got the chance at meeting Taylor when she came down to visit her family for Thankgiving. She showed up with a change of clothes and her cheerleading outfit. It's a good thing her small town is also the Tigers because it gave us the opportunity to shoot at the football field where my hometown is also the Tigers. We had a fun time.

Taylor- I hope you love all of your pictures and I wish you nothing but the best. Have fun with the rest of your Senior year because when you are my age you will wonder how time went by so fast!

Since I am on a blogging roll...I guess I should give my family a little shout out and blog their session that I did on Thanksgiving. Yes, it's New Years Day and I am blogging Thanksgiving...that shows you how far behind in blogging I was. :)

So, whether I claim them or not....this is my family. I love each and everyone of them dearly and they have been so supportive in this journey that I have started. I'm glad that they want me to take their pictures. It's probably because I'm free. :) ha ha. No one takes pictures of me. :( If I die...no one will ever know I was around. ha ha ha!!

Chuck and Ashley (blog 5)

This should really be titled, "Why I love my neighbors part 3" but not for this post. I guess because I've known them forever as "Chuck and Ashley" and not as my neighbors. See, we all come from the same town so to speak. I remember Ash when she was little and I used to work with Chucks grandma at the bank. Small world when they moved in across the street, not knowing that BA and I lived here.

When they wanted their pictures done we decided to do them at home...and no, that doesn't mean Morrison Blvd. We did them in our hometown...the small little town smack in the middle of Texas that I love to do sessions in.

This blog is going to be massive because there were entirely too many pictures to decide between for the blog. I guess that is because we had so much fun and shot for about 3.5 hours. So fun!

Chuck and Ashley( or as Avery calls you "Yuck and Slashley")- Thank you for moving on my street. It's been so nice getting to know you guys outside of "home". You guys are awesome and I had such a fun time during y'alls session. Thank you for risking your lives a few times to get a great shot. ha ha ha!! Love y'all!

It's amazing to have watched these boys grow up. Seems like just yesterday they were all tiny little squirts. I've known them, their mom and dad for about 5 and a half years. They live a few houses down from me and are great people.

A few weeks ago I got the opportunity to take some pictures of some of my favorite hometown people. Not to mention that Bryan was one of my best friends while we grew up. They are just all really special to me.

Margaret, Bryan, Carmen, Laura, Reese, Carson and Carlie- Thank you for allowing me to spend a few hours with you guys. I seriously think that y'all are the best. Sorry your blog got lost with the rest in the Christmas shuffle. Hope you love them! Oh, and your gallery is already up too!

This isn't the best one of the kiddos with their awesome Grandma...but I can't help but post this one because this is just too cute! Exactly how it is when you try to photograph multiple children. Too sweet!

Happy New Year!

It has been 2009 for one hour and two minutes and I still can't believe it. It seems like we just did this and that my whole photo world was just beginning. Here I sit a year later in awe of what a whirlwind year it was and how much I absolutely loved it and have been blessed by it. This time last year I had just fixed and launched my site and It amazes me how fast and what all can happen in one simple little year.

I want to start off by saying thank you to all my wonderful clients that I have had this past year. Without any of you I wouldn't be sitting here in the middle of the night looking forward to another year with you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You all rock my world!

To my husband and sweet little princess....thank you for being so supportive and for still loving me after countless nights on the computer and editing pictures at all times of the day. I love you both to the moon and back, with a whole herd of pigs flying backwards.

To the rest of my family and friends...thank you for being there for me this first year and for letting me "practice" on you at the drop of a hat. You are all awesome and I love you.

Now that the Christmas rush is over, presents have been opened and the new year has just come to light, I am excited to see what 2009 holds for me. There are things I want to do, places I want to take pictures at and people I can't wait to meet! Get ready! :)

The "J" Family

I'm sooooo behind on blogs! I realized AFTER I put up their WHOLE gallery that I haven't blogged Kristi, Hunter and Vanden. So here they are! This is also for their Daddy who is overseas fighting for our country. I hope that you can see this blog since you were having difficulty with the site!

A few weeks ago I got the opportunity to met this little family. They drove in from Mississippi to have their pictures done and spend Thanksgiving with some family. I thought Kristi was crazy to drive from Mississippi 8 months pregnant and with 2 kids! Brave soul!! :) We had a good time that morning and got a whole bunch of really good shots.

Kristi, Hunter and Vanden- Thank you so much for being such easy people to shoot....especially after the whirlwind few days you had before your session. It was so nice to meet all of you and I wish you nothing but the best. Good luck with the arrival of Baby A and I can't wait to meet her! See you when you come back for her newborn session. The Beautiful "G" Family

In High School Stacy and Wesley were this super cute couple and it was obvious that they would probably get married one day. Well, that happened and together they have the most gorgeous kiddos. I mean, obviously you would know that they would have cute kids but their kids are ridiculously cute.

I met them a little over a week ago (bad blogger, I've been swamped) and we had a fun time stomping around the square taking some personality and family pictures. The boys were so funny while taking pictures...they had the case of the giggles everytime the camera went up and they were trying NOT to smile. It was so funny. I love how the skateboard automatically tells you what the boys favorite thing to do is. It was absolutely perfect for the pictures.

Stacy and Wes- Y'all haven't changed AT ALL from high school and it was so good getting to catch up with you and your little ones. Y'all have two BEAUTIFUL boys and you better go ahead and start carving the stick you are going to have to beat the girls away with. ;) Thank you for letting me take your pictures.

Precious Garrett- I hope that Santa Claus brings you that super sweet skateboard that you want like your big brothers. If you need any help, I can email him a picture of you all decked out with the board. That would so make him get ANY 5 year old one. :)

This family is so fun and so nice. We had a nice session a week ago and I enjoyed getting to know them. I'm still shocked that half of them drove down from Ft. Worth to have their picture taken and then drive back! That is a long haul....and I hope you think it was worth it...ha !

The Whole "D" Bunch

I love my hometown and I love to shoot there. I love to shoot people that I have known my whole life. To look into the viewfinder on the back of my camera and see people I have known since I was in diapers just makes me happy. As in the case of this family. Looking into the viewfinder I see 3 siblings that I remember playing with when we were little. I see a man who was part of the fire department with my dad, which makes me remember going to fires with my dad and staying in the truck way back when. I see a lady who is friends with my mom and has worked with her for years until Mom retired. Then I see the new parts of this family who I think are awesome and the children that came later.

Mike, Cindy, Bernie, Debbie, Alley, Daucie, Trip, Kiersten, Kyle, Cody and Heather- Thank you for a fun morning and for making the shoot so easy! :) Y'all are such an awesome family and I am so glad that I know you. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

I love this family and had such a good time with them the day of the shoot. I thought we were going to have to reschedule because of the weather but it held off that Saturday and it was perfect! They had me laughing and I swear these kids could be little walking ads for magazines. Beautiful family!

The Long Awaited Blog Part 1 ( The "M" family...and some :) )

This is my friend, Tonya, and her family. About a trillon years ago (8 days to be exact) I took their pictures. Then I got extremely busy that I haven't had the chance to blog.....until now.

Besides my mom and sister...without Tonya I would be up a creek. With her help over the last few months I have been able to do one of things I love to do....take pictures. But while I do that someone has to look after my heart (my Avery). On the days I have sessions(which is all the time), Avery gets to go over to Tonyas house and play with her little friends and be away from me for a bit. I don't let just anyone watch Avery, but I know and trust Tonya and so does Avery. Besides if you are a kid...Tonya's house is the happening place to be! Besides making the BEST hairbows EVER she keeps children at her house. She is an absolute blessing.

So Tonya, thank you so much for being such a great friend and watching Avery while I work. She loves coming to your house and playing with all the kidlets. You rock! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and sorry it took a billion years to get it up. :)

The Super Cool "S" Family

These are my friends, The "S" family. Last weekend we braved the cool temperatures and the winds going about 100mph to take their pictures around Katy. Even though it was windy and Mike and Dougie wanted to leave to go to the Katy Football Playoff game...we still managed to get some really good shots. This is the preacher of my church and his beautiful family. Last week (yes, I'm behind on blogging)I met up with them around downtown Katy to do pictures of them with their family in from Iowa. We were scheduled for earlier in the week but the rain made us change the date..and I almost thought we were going to have to cancel again! But we didn't and we had a good time...plus, if I ever need to hire some monkeys to help me make little children smile while getting their picture taken....I know exactly where I'm going. :)

You Gotta Love Your Neighbors

I always feel sorry for people who say they have bad neighbors. Don't get me wrong, we've had a few come in our time but not now. From where I sit typing this...if I look out the window to the left of me...I'll see a house that belongs to an awesome and hysterical family. I met them a long time ago at one of their cousins birthday parties, but it wasn't until they moved into my neighborhood that I really got to know them...and I can honestly say that my neighbors ROCK!

Clay, Hannah, Kody, Kase and Kate- Thank you for trusting me to take your pictures, for making me laugh and for even offering to trespass on some property to get a good shot....I mean at least we were going to try and get permission first! :) Thank you for moving into the 'hood and for being such great neighbors. Behind on blogs...again! I swear I'll catch up soon!

Last weekend I drove down to League City to shoot 2 sessions. We will start with the first session....the "R" family. I enjoyed meeting them and getting to know them...but my favorite part was meeting their sweet little Madeleine. I literally melted into a big ole puddle when I first laid eyes on her. She was so beautiful and made the absolute sweetest sounds!

Lee, Theresa and Madeleine- It was such a pleasure to meet you guys and I am so happy for you two. I enjoyed visiting with y'all and watching how much that y'all absolutely adore your daughter. She is a very lucky child to have parents like the two of you. Y'all have it in the bag. :) I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

My second session was the other half of the family...the "B" Family. Jamie and I had been doing the email dance for a few weeks leading up to this day. We were ready and excited for the shoot and we all had a good time. Even Tucker, who didn't really want to have his picture taken at all!! BUT...I still got some good ones! Big sister, Shelby, was a natural and her big blue eyes say it all in her pictures...the child is precious.

****woo hoo...2 blogs in one day, with 18 minutes to spare!!*****

Janil and I emailed back and forth for weeks getting ready for our shoot this past Saturday. We had the location picked out and were so excited to shoot there. Then the day before we found out that a festival was being held there the day of our shoot. So we scratched that and started all over. We then decided on a certain popular park downtown and still had a wonderful shoot. I will admit that half way through the shoot I got a little star struck for a second when I found out that Janil is a former Miss Universe contestant for her home country.....I think that is so cool!

When I pulled into the parking spot at the VFW park I heard this little voice say, "It's Avery's MOMMY". I about melted right there. For one...I love hearing that and two...the site of the little munchkin with her hair in "puppy ears" as she called it was enough to make you want to just eat her up. She looked adorable. As did her baby brother with his bright blue eyes. We had a fun time wandering around snapping pictures and just visiting. The are such a sweet and loving family and I loved watching them interact. I love my job. :)

ANYWAY! This sweet little family I got to photograph while I was home a week and a half ago. This is my childhood friend Jenny and her family. Jenny and I go way back...WAY back when riding backroads was cool, back when singing on the bus going to football games was cool...AND back when the Algebra teacher gave us the Teacher Key as our textbooks was super cool. Yeah, that cool. :)

This past Sunday I had the chance to meet up with Kaydence to do her 2 year portraits and I had so much fun. She is sooooooo cute! She showed up with her tutu, a big lollipop and the cutest little halloween costume! I was also excited because her brother, Layne happened to be there too, so I snagged a few pictures of that little cutie as well! Poor things probably didn't like me much being that we went to quite a few locations. It was allllll worth it when I see the pictures.

Catching Up

Thank you to everyone for being so patient with me as I am non-stop trying to catch up. I'm going over my regular week and a half wait for galleries to be up ...but I'm doing the best I can. The Kobster

This is Koby. Koby belongs to one of my best friends, Tracy. Tracy and I have been friends since the umbilical cord fell off. Our moms have been best friends for a thousand years so Tracy and I were raised basically like sisters. With all of our other siblings. We are just one happy family. ha! All the years of family vacations to the beach, going to school together, getting pinched by the old ladies in church when we couldn't keep from giggling and so. When we graduated from high school, we went to college together and then eventually lived together in San Marcos. Basically there isn't one piece of my life that doesn't have Tracy in it. That's how much I love her.

Koby is her own flesh and blood and I was there when he made his grand entrance into this world. AND THE WORLD HAS NEVER BEEN THE SAME. ha! He makes me laugh so hard and kept me so entertained while doing his pictures the other day. I swear he is going to grow up and be a comedian or something....everyone will know him one day. :) He's that funny.

Tracy- Thank you for letting me take Koby's pictures. You know I love you AND you so know that I'm going to make you take maternity pictures in a few months. ha! Hope you like your sneak peek. That is one cute kid you have there.

My Little Boyfriend Reese

Reese and I go way back. We go way back to when he was bald and smiled a gummy smile. He just makes my heart happy. This past Saturday I got to hang out with him and his super cool mom and dad while we walked around taking fun pictures. He kept me laughing and wanted to hold my hand where ever we went. I felt so loved. I could just squish him. :)

This past Sunday morning I met up with this awesome family to shoot their family portraits.....and have a few good laughs. I've known Rory, Becky and their family for over a decade now and they are absolutely great. I remember when Rory and Becky got married in La Grange and BA and I had a little fender bender on the way there. ha! Needless to say....we were late.

Now, here they are with 3 precious boys and loving every minute. I loved taking their picture because looking through the viewfinder on my camera I got a glimpse into their daily lives.....and some hilarious pictures. They are busy, busy, busy! :) The twins are a few months older than Avery and Becky and I joke that when they are in high school that there is a possibility that one of them could date Avery...but which one? ha! I'll have blackmail pictures if that day arises. :)

Rory, Becky, Axel, Dax and Dane- Thank you so much for hanging out with me and allowing me to capture a day in your life. I had so much fun with y'all and it was nice getting to visit. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I saved a few of my favorites for your gallery. :)

This morning I had a mini-session with this sweet little red head. His name is Hayden and he is 18 months old. His Nana brought him out to meet me at Dewberry Farms and we had a fun little walk around. After I left he was going to stay and have some quality time with his Nana. I'm sure he had a blast!

This is Tyler and he is 3 weeks old. I started his newborn session the other day and got to love on him for a little bit. He is so, so, sweet! I'm going back to see him over the weekend and finish up his session...so I get to love on him again! Yay! Megan and her boys

My last session on Sunday was with Megan and her two boys, Tyson and Jackson. You might remember Tyson and Jackson from HERE. Megan wanted to do their "Mommy and Me" pictures around sunset so we headed out right before and had a fun time. I LOVE sunset pictures. The light is so beyond wonderful in pictures. :) The boys may have wanted to feed the fish a little bit more than take pictures but I still got some fantastic shots!

Caden and Adia

All day yesterday I got the chance to take pictures of super cute kids. My first session was with Mr. GQ, Caden, and his beautiful little sister, Adia. I met them at their Nenes house and we had a good time. In the beginning Adia was a little on the sleepy side and she took a little power nap while Caden and I got the chance to know each other. I learned that he is going to be Darth Vadar for Halloween, his best friend is Alex and he likes Kindergarten. Oh, and he can run fast....he showed me. :) Not only that but this kid can take a picture. Complete natural.

After Adia took a quick nap she was ready to go and I got some super cute pictures of her. She is such a happy, smiley baby and you can already tell she adores her big brother.

Just one for now....still proofing a few. :) This morning BA and I took Avery to Dewberry Farms. We've been wanting to take her out there and I needed to check it out before my "mini-sessions" there so I went to scope it out. It's super cute, but it was also super sunny. I put her in the sweater for this picture and I did it in like 2 minutes. I wasn't about to make her suffer, plus the picture below was exactly what I was aiming for! We went about 10:30am and I was wishing we would have gotten out there about 8:45 or 9am. The sun was so bright but I did manage to catch a few cute ones of her before she spotted the goats and was gone. :)

Reagan and Morgan

Last Friday while I was in Austin, I had the chance to have lunch with one of my old college roommates (Thanks for lunch, Les!) and then photograph her children again. My last session with them was in March and this time was SUPPOSE to be a surprise. Now that I know the cat is out of the bag, I can post a blog.

I have to start by saying that this shoot was hilarious. Poor Morgan was just not feeling it this time. After about 4 pictures she gave up and no longer wanted to wear her pants. I don't blame the girl...if I was 3 and could get away with walking through a park with no pants, I might do it myself. :) And I caught it all in pictures....and I love it.

Reagan, on the other hand, I could photograph ALL DAY. She is so beautiful and photogenic that I forget she is only 8 years old. She ran around striking a pose at every turn and every tree branch and I just snapped away. My heart was content.

Leslie- Thank you so much for allowing me photograph your children again. I absolutely adore them, as I do you. You are a WONDERFUL mother with WONDERFUL children and you should be proud. We may not have gotten the perfect picture of them together like you wanted BUT I do have a few that didn't require pants! ha! Love you! I'll have the rest up soon. This past friday morning I had the opportunity to do pictures for a sweet little family in Austin. I was so excited when I got Tara's email because I have been wanting to shoot in downtown Austin for a long time.

I met them on 6th street and we walked around for awhile just taking pictures in random spots...my favorite. :) Tara wanted bright and colorful backgrounds..and we found them alright. ;) Walking the streets of downtown Austin will give your legs a workout! I forgot how hill-y those streets are! ha!

Tara, Damon and Gavin- I am so glad that you wanted me to come up from Houston to do pictures for y'all! It was such a pleasure meeting all of you! I hope that you enjoy your "sneak peek" and I'll have your gallery up soon!

There is an AWESOME Salon and Spa in Bastrop called Avery McKay. This past Monday I got the chance to take some shots of the people that make up Avery McKay, including the owner, Kiley Ellsworth. It was such a fun photo shoot and the whole time I felt like I was taking pictures for the cover of a CD. ha!

If you are ever in or around Bastrop and want to get pampered by a group of rockstars you should look them up!

Now that Ike has taken a hike (Hallulejah)I am consuming myself in catching up with editing work. Can I just say that the pioneer days must have been the pits? Thank GOODNESS our electricity is back up and running already. I'm proud to say the only damage that was done at our house was some fencing....which we now share a big yard with our neighbor! ha! SO...since my break-up with my computer (which was TORTURE) is over I'm getting my sessions all in order. Here we go....

First and Most Important- Holiday Sessions are booking fast and I only have a limited amount left. It's not to early to think about Christmard Cards and gifts! Pictures make GREAT gifts! If you book a holiday session before September 31st you will receive a complimentary 8x10 of your favorite image from your session.

A Day at Dewberry Farms- A fun mini-session! On October 17th and 18th, I will be doing mini-sessions at Dewberry Farms in Brookshire! It's just a stones throw from Katy and so much fun! Not to mention cute! I am only opening up a few sessions each day, so book your spot now!

I will also be shooting in Smithville on certain weekends. During October I will be there the weekend of the 10th and the weekend of the 24th. I already have booked a few appointments during those weekends but will be open for more (yay for free babysitting there! HOLLA! ha). I will be there during the week some too so if that suits you best, let me know and we will work it out! Most of those will be holiday sessions but I will also be doing Pumpkin Patch pictures....Ashley's very own little pumpkin patch set(shhhh..don't tell my parents we will be using their yard!) It's going to be super cute so sign your little punkin up! As for November.... I haven't quite nailed it down yet! You can help me decide. :)

Now to end this blog here is a post of Aidan, our little neighbor and Averys best buddy, playing outside Friday as Ike's wind started to blow! We let the kids play outside as much as we could before the lights went out! Isn't he cute?

Little Answered Prayers

In April of this year A LOT of prayers were being said for my friend, Crichelle, when she was admitted into Texas Womans Hospital in downtown Houston. On April 9, 2008 she gave birth to her twin boys....when she was only 25 weeks pregnant. Constant prayers were being said for her twin boys, Jordan and Jaxon, that they would fight and be strong when they were so itty bitty and had everything against them......except for prayer

This year my family and I walked in the March of Dimes "Walk for Babies" here in Houston and Jordan and Jaxon were on our list of names of babies that we were walking for. You gotta give it up to the March of Dimes for everything that they have done for babie everywhere...including the two I am about to introduce you to. The March of Dimes will always hold a special place in my heart for all that they have done and how far that them have come in the fight against prematurity.... and I will walk and help raise money for them every year until I am old and wrinkled. I AM the COOLEST team captain...EVAH! Go Team Brock and Brody! :)

Now on to the best part of this blog....These two little miracles are Jordan and Jaxon. They eached weighed under 2 pounds at birth and rocked out in the NICU the first few months of life. A few weeks ago they got the last of their super cool contraptions taken away....their oxygen tubes were removed! So in honor of that occasion we FINALLY got to do their pictures this morning a la no tubes!

Crichelle- You know I love you like I love chips and salsa and I am so happy for you and Jyusef. You are both wonderful parents and I am so glad that your babies are home with you. Thank you so much for letting me take their pictures today and love on them for a few hours.

Jordan and Jaxon- Even though I kept getting your names mixed up doesn't mean I don't think you are by FAR the coolest babies in the world. I love you bunches and can't wait to watch you grow up! :)

The "Adventure" Photo Shoot

Adventure, you ask? Well we would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the little man fishing out in the middle of nowhere. We would like to tell him how much we appreciate that he decided to go fishing on THAT day, at THAT time and at the EXACT location where we would run out of gas. I would also like to publicly apologize to him and tell him how deeply sorry I am that there was no fish caught while I was watching his fishing pole for him. I mean, the least a fish could have done was jump on the hook while on my watch. The fisherman was worthy of a fish since he was doing his good deed of the day by taking Nathan a town over for gas. No gas, No fish on that day in the country. BUT...a GREAT place for photo shoots. :)Oh, and it was NOT my vehicle, I was a passenger....just to clarify and not scare my clients. ;)

Last Saturday, I got to do a FEW more pictures of Baby Elise. A few with her Daddy and a few with her brothers. It was only beginning when the above happened. SO needless to say...the photo shoot didn't last long. The daddy doesn't know it yet but his session isn't over. :) Sometime this weekend I will be going to their house for a few more because you know how much men LOVE photo sessions ( hey Nathan!).....and I'm filling up my tank before I leave. Good thing it is only a few miles away. ;)

And lastly, here is a picture where I hopped the fence (with permission) and was handed a 3 week old baby through the cattle panels and carefully stepped through the weeds to the fluffy chair.....all while watching for snakes. :) I LOVE my job...seriously.

This is Kimmie...she's a senior this year. She is graduating from the same high school I did *cough* 14 *cough* years ago. On Sunday we had a good time taking her senior pictures all around the little town that we both grew up in. Her mom too....

The funniest part....and I have pictures to prove it is when we were doing the pictures in the middle of the highway right under the stop light. For a million years this light was the only light in town. Now there's 2. :) Anyway, Kimmie was up for it and the creative part of my brain was spinning. She didn't care that there were cars zooming past us and then staring at her the whole time that the light was red. Yes, she got embarrassed....but I made her do it. AHH, the things you do for a fun picture! WELL...the minute we sat the piano bench (thanks mom!) in the middle of the highway wouldn't you know it....a cop comes around the corner. LUCKILY..she was laughing and watched for a minute and then she made us promise to be careful and not get hit....she didn't want to come back! ha! Only in the 'Ville could I do that AND NOT get a ticket. :)

Kimmie- Thank you so much for letting me do your senior pictures. You are a beautiful person inside and out and I wish nothing but the best for you. :)Enjoy every moment of your senior year.

This morning was all about Rhett. I had a fun time this morning hanging out with him and his mom, Ashley, while we took his pictures. I love this child. Isn't she just beautiful? This is my good friend Brandy's little girl and she is 3 weeks old. If you are a follower of my blog you will remember Brandys maternity pictures with her 2 little boys about a month and a half ago. It seems like it was just last week that I took Mason's 18month pictures. Now here he is on the verge of being 2 and so grown up looking. Six months sure does go by fast! There comes a point in life when someone can make you feel really old. Granted, I am only 32 but still....I'm not getting any younger. Ahhhh, the joys of life. Love it.

Here is my case and point. This is Whitney and she's my baby cousin. She's the baby of all of the Whitfield grandchildren. When my Aunt Kathy was pregnant I prayed and prayed that the baby would be a girl because she already had Matt and Kyle. On the day that my aunt went into labor I was a freshman in high school and I was in the middle of a volleyball game. Everyone on my team knew that my aunt was in labor and they were all hoping for a girl too....even though they had NO idea who I was talking about. Mom came in and we were on the floor and the other team was doing a subsitution. Then she yelled, "It's a girl" and my team and I went nuts. Everyone was probably wondering what in the world we were so happy about because if memory serves me correctly....we were losing. It was a girl and I had a new baby cousin. Yes, I know big age difference. ha! This year Whitney graduates from high school and I think I sprouted a few gray hairs. BUT I did get the pleasure of taking some of her senior pictures.

Whitney- You know I love you more than Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits and I am so glad you let me snap a few pictures of you. You are such a beautiful person inside and out and I am so proud of you and all that you have done so far in your life. You make me proud....and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Even though you make me feel as old as dirt, I still love you. :) It was good seeing you and I miss you already. Here are just a few pictures of yours and I'm sorry I didn't put them up before I went to the 'ville. I'll show you the rest as soon as I am done with them. Tell Elliott we said hello in our best ET voice.. "EEELLLLIIIOOOOTTTT"...ha ha ha. Tell him he was a big hit with the family.

Jack and Sam

Aren't they cute? These two little precious people belong to my cousin, Matt, and his wife, Christine. While in Ft. Worth we got to hang out with Jack and Sam a lot thanks to my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Ray who let Heather and I stay at their house.

In the midst of my other photo shoots I was going to squeeze in a session with Jack and Sam. On most days time got away from us or we were having too much fun at the galleria in Dallas checking out the American Girl Store (which Macy loved)....to get back in time for pictures. On Saturday night we tried to get to the Stockyards before dark....we were too late. So we decided that we would go back after church on Sunday because I was leaving that day. Then after church all 9 of us were hungry so we went to Mercado Juarez...and it was good. So that meant we were taking pictures at roughly 2:30pm....in the heat of the day with full bellies. Let me tell you ....it was hot! It was 107 degrees. Ahhhhhhhhh, fun times!

Jack and Sam- Words can't tell you how much I love you and how happy I am that I got to take your picture...even if we were melting into puddles. You are growing so fast and I had so much fun hanging out with y'all and swimming. I miss you already and want you to come to my house........today. :)

Matt- You are beyond the worlds greatest dad (sorry BA, sorry Dad) and I am so proud of the man that you have become. You are a true inspiration and I love you so much. Your boys are precious and I hope that when they grow up, they are just like you. Love you. Tine- It was good to see you even though it was a short visit but I hope that you are feeling good today and I hope that you start feeling better and better everyday. We are praying for you.

Kathy- Thank you so much for letting Heather, the kids, and I stay at your house for 5 days. I miss you and your super comfy beds....oh, and your swimming pool too. I'm sure sad that we aren't there to keep you up till 1am every night but I'm sure Pokey was glad to see us go. I love you, Fafa.....you are beyond wonderful, loving, and giving......and the world's best Giggi. I'll have Whitneys pictures up later today before I leave for Smithville. Miss you already....

The Blog World is a funny thing. I've had a personal blog for a about 5 years and I enjoy blogging about my crazy life. When you blog you also read friends and family members blogs too. It's an easy way to keep in touch with people. Then you have the random strangers blog that you just happen to come across and kinda get sucked into their life. Then you bookmark their blog into your favorites and read it all the time but never leave that blogger a comment. It's called "Blog Stalking" and everyone does it. It's fun.

I've always said that one day I am going to adopt from China. Ask anyone in my family. I love to read peoples stories about their wait for their child in China and the journey to go there and bring their child home. It makes me cry a happy cry every time for those people. When I was pregnant with Avery I was surfing blogs about China adoptions and thats when I found Robyn. It was right then and there that I got sucked into her blog. I was going to have an Avery and she was going to China to get her Avery.....AND we were both from Texas. I loved reading all about their wait for Avery and reading about the crazy things that she does with her friends. When their referral for Avery came it was then that I had to quit stalking her blog and leave her a comment. I was excited for this stranger that I didn't know and I was excited to read about their journey to China for their child. Ever since then we occasionally comment on each others blog and we have a great stalking relationship. :)

When Robyn contacted me about taking their first family portrait as a family of 3.... I about fell over from excitement. I WANTED to do it. I felt like I knew these people in a crazy way and I just had to see that beautiful child of theirs in person. So this past Saturday they drove a couple of hours to meet me in Dallas for a beautiful photo shoot and I got to hug her neck and love on her Avery. It was great.

Paul and Robyn- Thank you so much for driving so far just so that little ole me, the coolest blog stalker ever, could photograph your family. It was so nice to finally meet the 3 of you. The Sweet "P" family

On the first day of shooting in the DFW area I got to shoot these sweet little brothers....with a little bit of Mom and Dad thrown in. Their mom, Lacie, is a very good friend of my sisters. It was fun stomping all over their cute little town taking pictures and finding neat little spots. It reminded me of home and exactly how I grew up. Gotta love the small Texas towns!

Okay, now I have to explain the flag picture posted below. While taking their pictures on the train tracks at an old abandoned depot we heard the sound of a fast approaching train. So we yanked the boys up and put them on the ledge of the old depot to watch it go by.... about 15 feet from the track. I don't think the boys have ever seen a train up that close and heard how LOUD it really is. They stood there still as could be and I snapped 2 pictures........one before the train got to them and the other right after. I did not plan it that way...I did not see what was on the side of the box car.... but I absolutely LOVE what my camera captured. I had no idea until after I had taken it because I was focusing on the boys and not the train. Pretty cool, huh? God Bless America. :)

Lacie- Thank you so much for wanting me to take your precious little boys pictures. I had so much fun and they did so good....and so did you! Back from Ft. Worth

After 5 days in Ft. Worth for photo shoots...I am back! For those of you in Ft. Worth who are waiting on your sneak peeks....they will start tomorrow ! For those of you who have emailed and left messages...I have started returning to all. :) It will be a busy week but I am excited to get started. Yay! Oh, and for those of you from last week who are waiting on galleries....I'll have them up by Thursday!

Lynette and her girls

I got the opportunity this past weekend before I went out of town to do some pictures for my friend, Lynette. Lynettes precious girls, Alexi and Reighna had their birthdays in the past month and it was time for their annual pictures. So they got all dressed up and met me on Saturday morning to document their little lives at the age of 5 and 7! AND...a few pictures with Mom as well!

Lynette- Thank you so much for allowing me to take pictures of you and the girls. I had so much fun and your girls are so precious! I hope that you enjoy your sneak peek and I'll have the rest up next Monday. I leave for Ft Worth early in the morning for a some sessions I have up there over the next few days. Anywho, don't miss me sitting next to you in church again this Sunday...but I'll be home that afternoon and have your pictures ready to go the next day!
